Welcome to Italy! We are so happy to have you join us on this incredible journey to Italy! This Italian Farm Stay Retreat will be a trip of a lifetime.
The entire 9 night journey will be filled with cultural experiences in Florence and Rome, exquisite cuisine, and the serene beauty of the Italian countryside high atop the Umbrian hills on a 12th century farm.
May 7: Arrival in Florence Upon your arrival in Florence, take some time to settle into your accommodation.
May 7: Evening in Florence - Tonight we gather for a welcome dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Florence Authentic Tuscan Cuisine & regional wines with cured meats hanging from the ceiling.
May 8: Guided Tour of Florence | David After breakfast our hotel, private guided tour of Florence, exploring its incredible beauty and architectural marvels like the Duomo. It always takes my breath away! And of course we will visit the famous Academia where Michelangelo's David awaits our visit.
Your afternoon is free to explore more of amazing Florence and all it has to offer. Shop for leather goods and silk scarves, walk the river Arno and cross the Ponte Vecchio bridge tasting the most amazing gelatos ever! Across the bridge you'll find artisans who craft leather purses and jewelry. In the evening we will meet for rooftop cocktails at our hotel overlooking the amazing Duomo.
May 9: Farm Stay | Heading to the Hills of Umbria This morning, following breakfast we set off with our private driver to the hills of Umbria. Arrive in the late afternoon to be welcomed by our hosts of this 12th century farm.
May 9-12: Umbrian Farm Stay A charming 12th century farm in Umbria. This rustic stay includes home cooked meals and local wines with lunch and dinner. Hands on opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of working with horses, making it a serene and healing retreat. Activities at the Farm
Participate in equine empowerment workshop to experience the calming and healing effects of being around horses
Option to Join guided horseback rides through the scenic Umbrian countryside
Engage in mindfulness and relaxation exercises with the horses

Make bread, pasta, pizza in the outdoor wood oven
Pick flowers and make your own soaps with the flowers we pick
Gather Fresh Flowers and create your own homemade soaps

May 11:Farm | Horses | Bon Fires and Pizza Start your day with a hike to a nearby lake and horse ranch with option to ride. Enjoy a late lunch with the locals, visit nearby Vineyard. Tonight we celebrate this amazing farm with a bonfire and Wood-fired brick oven Pizza farewell dinner.
May 12: Road to Rome | Healing waters Today after breakfast, our private driver whisks us away to experience an amazing site of a 3000 year old Thermal Spa
The Terme di Saturnia are a group of natural hot springs located near the village of Saturnia (named after the Roman god, Saturn). Legend has it that Saturn was so angry by how humans fought one another, that he threw a thunderbolt at the Earth, causing a huge crater to open up and fill with hot sulfurous water. Its healing properties made everyone calm and lead happier, more prosperous lives. We all need this now in our world!
May 13: Arrive in Rome - Rome Hotel 2 nights Morning breakfast and off to Rome! Our Private Driver takes us from the Healing waters to the Eternal City Afternoon: Our driver Paulo will meet us at our hotel to Explore the hidden gems of Rome in our private golf cart tour. What a wonderful way to experience this eternal city! Off the beaten path through the back alleys and all the amazing sites, stopping for gelato and open air markets. Highlights include Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, Campo de Fiori, St Peter in Chains
May 14: Rome – Vatican Museum | Farewell Dinner This morning we enjoy an amazing breakfast and head to the Vatican with our own private guided tour of the museum and the St Peters Cathedral. So many amazing works of art here. The Hall of Maps, Raphael rooms, and of course the Sistine Chapel where Michelangelo labored for four years (1508-1512) painting on his back on scaffolding painting this famous ceiling. We end with a visit to St Peters cathedral with all of its incredible works including most impressive mosaic art on the walls with the tiles the size of grains of rice. My favorite place!
This afternoon you are free to relax and walk about Rome.
Tonight we head over the River Tiber to the Ghetto and have an amazing arrivederci (Farewell dinner) in Trastevere.
May 15 : Sadly we leave today | If you tossed a coin in the Trevi Fountain you are sure to return. This morning after breakfast we head to the airport - meet our private driver to the airport in Rome Flight Home: We end this chapter as we bid farewell to Rome Leave with amazing memories, new found friends and a new outlook on life.
